Into the Single Digits.

The countdown has entered single digits, guys. 9 days and counting.
Wish me luck.

I'm trying to get a whole list of stuff to do DONE before I go. Wish me luck on that, too.
Thanks~
Moni.

Am I actually getting nervous?
.
..
...nah... [laughs] It still doesn't feel like I'm even going yet. I hear you feel that way up until you're actually in that country. Well... we'll see about that. :)

Back from Michigan

Michigan rocked. End of story.

I traded pins and cards. I came back with 80 cards, give or take a couple. I came back with 130 pins, give or take a couple. My jacket is already getting very full. It looks awesome. It'll look even better when I come back.

Picture.

There you go.
Very little sleep was taken care of this weekend. I thought I wasn't really all that tired last night, so I went upstairs to unpack at 7 PM.
I saw my bed, and that's all it took for me to think "FFKDLSAJf0427q89ru2." (Jibberish, not even real English) I laid down, and in minutes I did not awake until 10 AM today. ...and I'm still tired.
Well, I have stuff to do, and I think I'm going to bed early tonight. See ya!

Goin' to Michigan

Watch out, MI, here I come!

I didn't get any buttons made today, but I went shopping and got a few things I needed. Fabric paint for my suitcases (What? I'm an artist!), a cute red plaid skirt that matches a lot of stuff (for 4 bucks, who could pass it up) - good for Thailand too, fake leather to modify my *new* (Not really - yay Goodwill!) leather messenger-bag thingie (smaller than my usual, lighter & easier to carry), and some other stuffs. Thought I'd let you in on the spoils.

Anyway, I packed and stuff, and I can't wait to leave. Why it's a big deal: It's this huge convention-type thingie for all of the central-states exchange students, some rotary members, parents, family... hundreds of people. In one place. We have pins and buttons. We shall trade. Dances. Get-togethers. Do-thingies. Stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. I can't wait! My mother and I hop in the van tomorrow (more like tonight) at about 4 or 5 AM, which is in about 6 or 7 hours from now. Which means I should go to bed soon because I'll be getting up atleast an hour before we leave to make sure we have everything. It's about an 8-hour trip, not including the stops we have to make on the way there.
I've never been to Michigan before.
And this is sure to be one heck of a good time. Yay!

Have fun while I'm gone!
XOXO

I have a lot more to go.
I guess it's a one-person job, though - there's only one machine. Dev, you're "off the hook"... for now. [laughs]
Seriously though, I have more work to get done.
Good news, though - I hear Dick Blick would like to donate some materials for my use. YAY! I love that store. Always have. I love walking through that place and getting stuff. I'm an art freak. Yay.

Help?

Day by day, things just get more and more hectic.

I just made 1,000 pins made of red, white and blue ribbon, glue, safety pins, and pennies. That may not sound like much, but trust me, it is. I had my friend slave-labor... I mean, helping, me do this. When we worked, we got about 500 done! ...In about 3 or 4 hours.
I worked some more, but this time on my own, finishing them up. Took up an entire day.
Now all 1,000 are done.

1,000 left to go.

You heard me right. Those were just one type of pin. I'm making buttons, too. 1,000 of them. Another 1,000 buttons. The majority of which should be done by Friday. Not next Friday, this Friday. That's about 3 days. I'm leaving VERY EARLY in the morning to go to Michigan on Friday, and I need my buttons with me to trade. The papers/pictures/inserts that go into the buttons haven't been printed yet. They were supposed to be done this past Friday. Then today. Now they're saying they'll get done tomorrow. I sure do hope so. I need them!!! Please come through for me! Even if I get them tomorrow, I'll still have less than three days to make about another 1,000 buttons. My slave-labored friend has decided he's "ill" for the next 23 days (that's how long I have left in the USA), and "can't work." Yet he is willing to work-out with me and hang out. "Sick." ...Sure, Dev. [laughs]

23 days left in America.
Think I can handle it?
No. I can't.
The anticipation is murder.
Dead already.
By spoons.
Leave me a message.
Love.
Peace.
Marshmallows.
